Panels cover whole areas. The Ember covers one joint. It straps around a knee, an elbow, or a shoulder, holds the diodes flat against the skin, and stays there through the session.

The pad carries 105 diodes at 660nm red and 850nm near infrared across a flexible face that curves with the joint, so contact stays even rather than only touching the high point. Contact matters more than raw power on a device this size.

Light movement is fine, seated or standing. It is not made for training in, and the pad works best held still and flat against the skin.

How long does the battery last?

About four twenty minute sessions per charge. It charges over USB C in roughly two hours and can be used while plugged in.

Will it fit a shoulder?

The strap plus the included extender wraps most adult knees, elbows, and shoulders. On a larger shoulder, the extender runs across the upper arm.
