A face mask covers the front of the face and stops at the jaw. The Contour picks up where it stops: it cups under the chin and runs up both sides of the jaw, which is the area a flat mask never sits against properly.

Sixty diodes at 630nm red and 850nm near infrared sit against the underside of the chin and along both jaw lines, held in soft silicone. The over head strap adjusts and takes the weight, so it stays put unaided.

Sessions run ten minutes, it is cordless over USB C, and the silicone wipes clean in seconds. It layers before or after a mask session without getting in the way.

Is eye protection needed?

The diodes point at the chin and jaw, away from the eyes, so glasses are not required. Do not look directly into the diodes while the strap is off the face and running.
